Today is a day, Found|READers, when we are reminded to stop and take stock.

Please read this note
from OM about his unusual holiday. Om had a health scare on Dec 28, but he’s doing well, and has some thoughts to share with you about it.

As you may have noticed, my byline hasn’t been up on the site for a few days. That’s because the holidays weren’t exactly my most jolly.

I had a heart attack on Dec. 28. I was able to walk into the hospital for treatment that night and have been recovering here ever since. With the support of my family and my team, I am on the road to a full recovery. I am going to be OK.
(Please read the full text here).

Of all the things we think matter in life and in business — the strategies and maxims, tips and tools we write about here day in and day out — it is the people who matter more: The ones who inspire you; encourage you; assist you; instruct you; hire you; chastise, correct, cajole, laugh with, cry with … and in so many other ways, support you. They make what you do possible.

Om does all this for the team at GigaOM, and much, much more.
In his fashion, he’s doing great. But we wish him well in his continued speedy recovery and ask that you keep his words, and his family, in your thoughts.

Please feel free to send ‘get well’ messages to Om in the comments field on his post, and please do so only there. It is where Om will be reading, and will be the easiest place for him to receive your thoughts.
